Art and craft classes can be fun when you are Yulia Brodskaya. Colorful strips of papers are neatly folded or twisted to create beautiful portraits of women and men. Being a big fan of surrealism, Yulia has incorporated surreal art into her paper quilling portraits in an interesting manner. When you look closer at the paper quilling art, you can see neat stacks of paper glued on together which reminds us of libraries. The paper quilling portraits are detailed with accessories with peacock feather earrings, necklaces and more. The wrinkles on the faces are so clearly detailed by the creative stacking of the strips of paper. Paper quilling is mostly used for creating jewellery and when we look at these stunning portraits from paper, it leaves us amazed. According to Yulia,""Paper always held a special fascination for me. I've tried many different methods and techniques of working with it, until I found the way that has turned out to be 'the one' for me: now I draw with paper instead of on it". Yulia Brodskaya is an author of a book Painting with Paper: Paper on the edge.
