Creative Paper Sculptures without Glue or Cuts by Polly Verity
The passion for paper has made this artist very creative with her paper sculptures. The watercolor papers have been twisted and molded to form beautiful faces portraying different emotions. The paper is turned into 3d patterns and when the light hits the surface, interesting forms are displayed. She mostly uses folded papers which are bent in straight lines or molds to create faces. The most interesting fact of these paper sculptures are they all created using a single sheet of paper. Born to a family of artists, she was inspired by her step-grandfather's book,"Your Book of Paper folding" which moved her to learn the art. From the age of 8, she has been experimenting with papers. According to her website,"The paper fold is initially eased into shape by hand onto a small piece of paper. Then the paper is opened out and the lines carefully, mathematically transcribed into a computer line drawing. Once this drawing is refined and tested and with the repeat tessellation computed, the line data is sent to a desktop cutter that cuts very slightly into the paper in order to score it. The paper is then folded by hand along these scores. Each sculpture is made from one sheet of paper with no cuts or glue".

Aerial Photography: Photographers go to any extent to get their perfect shot. Meet Jeffry Lim who dangles out of helicopters and hot air balloons to get his best aerial photography. His work is full of risk, where one time the engine of his aeroplane caught fire and he had to find another plane to complete his project. Lim has more than 20 years of experience and loves to travel around the world. Lim is based in Kuala Lumpur for his aerial photography work. When he was working as an aerial photographer for Aspiring New Zealand, he had to face extreme weather conditions, since the temperature outside was -31°C. According to Lim,"I wore four layers of clothing and also had to place two heat packs close to my body to keep warm. I need to know what safety precautions to take so I don't blow up the whole platform! Or if a helicopter nose-dives into the sea, I need to know how to survive". We absolutely love this passionate aerial photographer and have a look at some of his beautiful aerial photographs many of which he had risked his life.

Funny Photo Manipulation : Spanish photographer Yago Partal's funny photographic creation featuring animals dressed as humans which he named as 'Zoo Portraits' has gone viral among viewers. He is also an acclaimed visual and conceptual artist and designer who has created a huge number of important visual art and video works. The project, according to Partal is an inspiration of wildlife, cartoons and fashion stories which he heard during his childhood. The funny photo manipulations are actually created by him to have fun and to relax from the routine work.
