Los Angeles based artist Debra Broz believes in surprises and she creates bizarre animal sculptures with weird imagination. The winged elephant, multi-eared rabbits, carrot legged babies and many more humorous sculptures makes every viewer laugh out instantly and come out of their usual serious world of work. Debra says we must take time to realise that the world is wildly full of nonsense and that aspects of our lives are incredibly ridiculous. She collects the abandoned ceramic pieces of figurines from thrift stores and remake them into funny hybrid animals with ceramic restoration techniques. She ensures to create the sculptures with fine detailing so that these little sculptures are uniquely memorable to all. She also creates different variations of the same animal just to see how many ideas she could get on the same animal like the white rabbit series.
