A glove is a garment covering the entire hand. Gloves regularly have separate sheaths or openings for each finger and the thumb. Fingerless gloves are sometimes called gauntlets. Gloves can protect and give comfort hands against heat or cold, damage by friction, abrasion, or chemicals.
