Butterflies are an important part of the ecosystem. Many countries have butterfly parks to increase their population. The world's largest butterfly is Queen Alexandra's Birdwing and it's wingsize is approximately 30 cm. That is 10 times bigger than the regular butterflies. It was officially found in Papua New Guinea. In India, Golden birdwing is the largest butterfly and is found in the Himalayas. The world's smallest butterfly is the western pygmy blue butterfly, with a wingsize of 0.5inch. Some of the world's rarest butterflies are : Bay checkerspot, Miami blue, Saint Francis Satyr, Fender's blue, crystal skipper and a few more. Butterflies are the most endangered species and it's our duty to protect them.
